My name is Karen Adelman Foster. I'm running for Natick School Committee, and I ask for your vote on March 28.

I’m co-president of Natick Education Foundation and have advocated for years on my own for better schools. My primary concerns are in the areas of challenge (academics and enrichment), connecting, and building community. With many of you, I worked hard in the campaign for the new Wilson Middle School and improved Kennedy Middle School, and will continue to work hard to keep our schools improving.

I am also a Town Meeting Member from Precinct 6 with an understanding of other issues facing the town. I make a point of talking to people who disagree with me, and of trying to find consensus. I plan to support a new senior center and other town projects along with a new or renovated high school, and I'm committed to the idea that taxpayers have a right and responsibility to decide what they want their money spent on. Please contact me and tell me what your priorities are.

Under my professional name, Karen Adelman, I'm an independent writer and marketing consultant with a BA from Swarthmore College and an MFA from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. My husband, Robert Foster, and I have three school-age children.

I ask for your vote on March 28th -- please help out by donating to the campaign or volunteering your time!
