Dear Natick neighbor, Educating kids has never been more important – for the future of our town, our country, and our families. It won’t be easy for Natick’s schools to keep making headway during this downturn, but we ’ll do it – if we work together. My name is Karen Adelman Foster, and I’m running for re-election to the Natick School Committee. To survive the crisis and emerge stronger, we’ll need leaders who listen. Leaders who don’t settle for what’s quick and obvious and popular, but move decisively to do what makes long-term sense. Over the years, you’ve seen me be just that kind of leader. You’ve seen me tackle hard questions and make tough calls. You’ve seen me speak up for greater academic rigor, better communication, and for really listening to different points of view. You’ve seen me stand up for what is best for the schools, even in the face of opposition. And you’ve seen me push, always, for the responsible use of your money. Working together, we’ll do what needs to be done. Yes, there will be cuts, and they'll hurt. But we’ll educate Natick’s kids – and do it well – for less. We’ll complete the high-school building project. We’ll move forward, together, as a school system and community. Please look over my record and priorities, then please join me. We'll make it through these hard times, and we'll move ahead. Let me know if I can answer any questions or address any concerns, and please consider supporting my candidacy. I thank you for your vote and for caring about our great town. Yours truly, Karen |
